President Atifete Jahjaga said today that during the November 3 elections judicial institutions proved efficient and mobilized to protect the rights and freedoms of citizens .
" The law will be guaranteed in case of violation of free will and no amnesty for violations of the basic right of citizens of the Republic of Kosovo . December 1 elections must prove that Kosovo is a state of law and equal citizens . Kosovo Police has engaged 5,100 police officers to ensure the smooth running of the process .
The runoff will be held on December 1st in North Mitrovica , Zvecan while elections will be repeated in three polling stations . Due to the specific circumstances in that part of Kosovo Police will coordinate measures and actions with EULEX and KFOR .
Similar to the polls November 3 , in a runoff involving 50 candidates in the race for 25 seats for Kosovo mayors , the entire process will be monitored and watched closely by local and international organizations .
European Union election day will have 71 observers .
